About District Door

Independent journalism on the forces shaping markets, policy and everyday life — reported without fear or favor.

District Door was founded on a simple premise: readers deserve reporting that opens every door on a story — the market reaction, the policy debate, the human consequence — without trading clarity for speed or opinion for evidence.

We are an independent news organization. Our journalists operate without partisan allegiance and without commercial pressure on editorial judgment. Advertising and subscriptions fund the work; neither buys favorable coverage.

How we report

  • Verification first. We publish what we can confirm through multiple sources, primary documents or direct observation — and we say plainly when we cannot.
  • Corrections on the record. Errors are corrected promptly, with a clear note on the story. Retractions are rare and never silent.
  • Independence by design. Reporters do not cover companies or officials they have a financial or personal stake in. Gifts and paid travel are declined.

Opening every door on the story is not a tagline — it is the standard we hold every desk to, from the first pitch to the final edit.
